Research on the ocean as a global environmental system

Our lives interact with the natural environment, including weather, disasters, resources, and ecosystems. All of a sudden, things that we took for granted in our daily lives, or that we thought were just like that, are now starting to make us think, "Hmm? Wait..." Have you ever had the experience of suddenly wondering, thinking, investigating, and being convinced? "Why is the ocean blue? Or, "Why does the wind blow?" There are many familiar and simple questions that are difficult to answer. The color of the ocean is related to the reflection and absorption of sunlight, and the wind is intricately linked to not only weather, but also topography, oceans, and many other factors. I think this is how you can come up with new questions and interests, and also a good topic for a little talk.

This site will be a memorandum of things that graduate students find interesting, trivia, and little tricks.
